Description airtightness works:
A new government office building was constructed against an existing building on the historic site of the old coal mines of the province of Limburg in Flanders, Belgium.
Blowerproof coatings were specified and used for the airtightness of all the building connections in the new building, as well as for the connection between the old and the new building.
As most surfaces on which Blowerproof had to be applied were unsmooth and rough, tapes and membranes could not be used.
Finishing on Blowerproof: with spray plaster.
A blowerdoortest was done at the end of the construction works; the result of this test complied with the demands, which was n50 < 1. This is the norm which is requested for an optimal functioning of the ventilation systems.
Used airtight coatings: Blowerproof Liquid and Blowerproof Liquid Brush
